You Can Filter The List By Selecting a Category Below:

Why we don’t use teabags?2020-10-28T10:14:04+00:00

Several reasons:

  • Teabags are made from a special plastic – which is not good for our environment.
  • Herbs have to be processed and pulverised into a powder to be put into teabags, that means they potentially lose flavour and the potency may be diminished.
Can you drink the tea hot? Can you drink it cold? And, does it lose potency if it’s not hot?2020-10-28T10:15:14+00:00

Herbal tea blends will retain their potency and therapeutic benefits whether you drink it hot or cold. It really is personal preference.

How many cups of tea do you recommend I should drink each day?2020-10-28T10:15:41+00:00

Because everyone is different – their hydration, their diet, their medications, their health issues – there is no “dosage” for herbal tea blends. What I suggest is that people make a pot of tea and drink that throughout the day. For good health, a teapot of tea and a bottle of water should be their priority drinks each day.

Will the tea interfere with my medication?2020-10-28T10:16:00+00:00

When people ask me that, I refer them back to their health practitioner.  Unless you are qualified and understand all drugs and their interactions, leave it to their medical practitioner to give them advice.  However, you can tell them that they should not drink the Aches and Pains tea and the Headache tea if they are taking any blood thinning medications like aspirin or warfarin. Turmeric and White Willow Bark are also blood thinners.

What health conditions do the herbal teas help with?2020-10-28T10:16:18+00:00

You can get a detailed outline of all the conditions and the blends that help with them on the herbal Teas Australia website: https://www.herbalteasaustralia.com.au/health-conditions/

Where are herbs from?2020-10-28T10:16:37+00:00

We source the organic herbs from Australia and around the world. We purchase the raw herbs from an Australian Certified Organic distributor who sources the herbs from farmers who grow the herbs under the strict organic guidelines which also ensured that the farmers are paid and treated fairly.

Some herbs are classified as “wildcrafted” (also known as foraging) which means they are harvested in their natural or wild habitat. It applies to uncultivated plants wherever they grow. There are ethical considerations involved with this such as protecting endangered species and protection of the potential for depletion. An example of a wildcrafted herb we use at Herbal Teas Australia would be Pau D’Ärco which is a bark harvested from trees in Brazil where the harvesting is done under strict regulations.

Can You Tell Me More About The Teas?2020-10-28T10:17:04+00:00

We are really passionate about the quality of the herbs in our teas, where the herbs come from and their journey from cultivation to the consumer.  That is why we ensured they are organic so that they would have the optimum therapeutic benefit for the consumer. And that the people who grow and harvest the plants are cared for.

We do have an extensive range of teas so there is something to help with most health issues. For many people they are a convenient option before resorting to drug medications. For others, it’s an addition to their health treatments and for many, they just enjoy the taste of the various herbal blends.

What is the shelf life of the Herbal Tea products?2020-10-28T10:17:30+00:00

We add the ‘Best before’ dates on the products when they are packed. The shelf life on the products is two years.

Is this a Hobby, Side-Hustle or Full-time business?2020-10-28T10:19:49+00:00

It’s up to you. We don’t want to tell you how to do your business. One of the main benefits of this opportunity is that Dealers purchase directly from HTA, the manufacturer, so the more direct you can sell the to a customer the higher your margin. This is why we recommend markets, festivals as they have a captive audience who are looking to spend. It is up to you how you want to sell, how much time and effort you want to allot to your business. The great thing is, even as a hobby, you can make great income. For a more detailed outline of just how much profit you can make selling HTA Herbal products please refer to Pg 9 of the Info Pack.

Can I do this business online?2020-10-28T10:20:13+00:00

Absolutely yes. The beauty of a Dealer Pack is that we can assist you with the HTA content for your site – photos, product descriptions, so you have a full range of products in your online shop from the beginning. There are different ways you can sell the product online and many of our dealers are experiencing excellent sales volumes.

What if I don’t have my own online shop?2020-10-28T10:20:35+00:00

You make more margin on the products you sell if you handle all the aspects ie. Take the order and send the product. However, we also know that starting an online shopping portal is not for everyone. You have the option to guide your customers to order via our main website www.herbalteasaustralia.com.au and provide them with your Dealer promo code that gives them a discount, provides you a commission on the sale and ensures they remain ‘your customers’.

How do I keep my customers from just going straight to HTA to re-order?2020-10-28T10:20:59+00:00

We want to ensure your customers remain your customers, so as a Dealer you will firstly get ‘re-order’ stickers to put on your products which provides your customer with your details to re-order from you directly. If you have your own online shop then you can direct all re-orders to your website, which is the best way for you to service your customer and keep your margins.

However, in the event you don’t have your own online shop or in another scenario, run out of a particular blend and you want to get it to your customer fast, you can provide them with your assigned Promo Code – when they visit our online shop and order, they use the code, get a discount, we ship it to them on your behalf and you receive a commission on the sale. You can even provide us with flyers/cards and we can add them to the parcel when it is shipped to your customer. If one of your customers forgets your website or order code, and we see from the address that they are from or close to your area, we just assign the sale to you and you still get the commission. We want you to keep your customers and we’ll assist in every way we can.

How do I build my customer database?2020-10-28T10:21:26+00:00

In today’s world, a large qualified database adds tremendous value to any business. It’s the same in this business, especially when we experience circa 70% re-order ratio from our customers. Yep, you read that right.

We encourage all our Dealers to collect customers contact details at events and build their database. This way you can then keep your customers informed of any promotions you have and where you will be if you attend events or markets. In the health and wellness industry, connecting with your customers and understanding their needs is extremely valuable. One huge advantage selling Herbal products is once a customer sees results from drinking the teas they continue to re-order.

Does the training certify me as a Herbalist?2020-10-28T10:21:54+00:00

No, we are unable to certify you, however, the content of the training course provides you with much of the same information that a Herbalist will cover on a certified course. In addition, when you complete our online training course you will see that we include Herbalist Tips and Sales Tips for each of the products based on real life experiences to assist you to connect with your customers.

Can I share training with others?2020-10-28T10:22:16+00:00

The online training course is the intellectual property (IP) of HTA. As a Dealer we do allow you to share the access to the training modules for training family members and/or staff who will be helping you with your business. We just ask you to be responsible with regards to who you share it with.

How is the Dealer Model different from a Franchise?2020-10-28T10:22:42+00:00

Simply put, franchises suit some people and many people can be very successful in a franchise environment, however, it may be a good idea to have a look at how many franchises are up for resale and ask yourself why? They sound like a great idea, having a complete template of everything you have to do right down to the spec of the garbage bags you purchase through a supplier they tell you to use, makes it easy right? The infrastructure that goes into detailing every aspect of a franchise does come at a price. They control what you do, when you do it, what you can/can’t do and suppliers you have to purchase from. You work your butt off and share your hard-earned revenue with the master franchisor; on the royalty scheme which may have sounded fair to begin with; a weekly/monthly fee that sounded reasonable at the beginning; the shared marketing contributions that may or may not directly assist you, but then it ends up killing your bottom-line income. (your profit) Oh, and did I mention the royalty comes off your gross revenue, it’s not a % off the balance after costs.

Anyway, we are not here to franchise bash. We don’t claim to be better or worse than a franchise with our Dealer Pack Model, it is just different. We removed the restrictions, on-going costs and royalties of a typical franchise agreement and thought…..If I wanted to be a Dealer what would I want/need to be successful? That’s it. We feel we are more suitable to an entrepreneur who wants a business opportunity where they can really be their own boss, do things their way and on their own time, while having the backing of the manufacturer and an experienced support team on their side.

When you invest in the HTA Dealer Pack, it allows you access to purchase the full range of products at excellent wholesale prices and you sell them when you want and however you want to, you can even sell at whatever price you want. You have your own ideas, we want to encourage diversity when it comes to selling the products and not restrict dealers to certain ways. Importantly, we provide you with stock, equipment to get you up and running and we have an experienced support team to assist you along the way. Our HTA Dealer Model, is designed to encourage the potential entrepreneur in you, to turn your business ideas into realities.

We make the finest therapeutic herbal teas in the country, we know about the herbs, the blends and how effective they are when helping people live heathier lives. On top of that we pride ourselves on having an excellent support team to help dealers with their venture. This knowledge, support and transparency is what you get when you join us as a Dealer.

Do I get an assigned territory with a Dealer Pack?2020-10-28T10:23:06+00:00

We don’t map out particular territories with the Dealer Packs. When you become a Dealer, you tell us the local and regional areas you expect to sell in. If you are actively selling in those areas and your re-order volumes continue to increase, then we would not consider allowing another Dealer to take away any of your sales.

Look at it from our side. If we granted exclusivity to someone for an area, but then for some reason they don’t sell much product in that area, yet we are ‘locked out’, we all go broke.

After I invest in a Dealer Pack, what next?2020-10-28T10:23:32+00:00

We prepare all the stock and equipment and send it out to you as soon as possible. We communicate with you to ensure all the personalized branding on your marketing materials is correct prior to printing. The entire process including transporting everything to you generally takes 2-3 weeks. However, during this time you have access to the Online Training modules so you can get started on the training, so that you are ready to start as soon as you receive your stock. Our support team are there to assist with the training and getting you prepared.

Do I have to learn the entire range of products to start with?2020-10-28T10:23:52+00:00

With a Dealer Pack the initial stock you receive is made up of 20 wellness blends from our range. The initial training module reflects this so that you only need to focus on a limited number of blends while you get established. Once you are comfortable with the initial blends, you are welcome to complete the training on the rest of the herbs and of course order them to add to your range. The training is all set up so you can do it at your pace, in your own time.

Who are HTA’s main competitors?2020-10-28T10:24:23+00:00

Are there competitors out there, of course, and there always will be, however, as we have already established the largest range of organic, therapeutic herbal blends in Australia, you could say we are well in the race. Our products contain 100% certified organic herbs….that’s it. There are not many competitors that can honestly put that on their packet.

We don’t see the T2’s of the world as a direct competitor as their products contain artificial fillers, and although they have organic elements, are not 100% organic blends.

HTA blends are therapeutic, designed to help specific ailments and taste good. They are not to just another range of fancy blends, although, we also have a café range for those cafes too.

What if I move to another area, state, country?2020-10-28T10:25:28+00:00

No problems. It’s your asset, you can sell your business or you can take it with you and re-establish in your new area. Keep us in the loop and we’ll support you with relocating your business.

What are your Specialty products and new products?2020-10-28T10:26:09+00:00

Once you are established as a Dealer, we have additional products that you can add to your range. This will provide additional revenue streams to your business, once you are fully up to speed with the wellness blends.

As a Dealer, you will be the first to see, use and sell new products that our Research and Development (R&D) department release. We also welcome ideas and feedback from our dealers for new or variations of products from our Dealers.

We know there is so much potential for the use of Herbal products in health, wellness and other sectors we are continually working on new products to fulfil these areas of the market. It’s exciting times to be in the organic herb business.

What if I already have a shop?2020-10-28T10:26:30+00:00

If you already have any type of retail shop and just want to add the Herbal Tea Blends to your product range, please contact us through the www.herbalteasaustralia.com.au website and fill out the application form.

What is HTA’s Grand Long Term Plan?2020-10-28T10:26:51+00:00

HTA has grown significantly since 2013 and we know that the best way to stay relevant in an ever- expanding sector is to focus on ensuring we continue to supply the best products. This has been the recipe for our success so far and we know it. This is why our master plan is to focus only on manufacture and supply of our products and for Dealers to sell them retail to customers both nationally and internationally.

Offering Dealer opportunities to entrepreneurs across the nation to sell and share in this success, allows us to continue focusing on what we are best at, which is manufacturing the best quality products, developing new products to diversify the sales opportunities and offer the best direct from manufacturer pricing. Dealers who love the products, use the products and have invested in products make for the best ambassadors to sell the products.

How much money can I make selling Herbal Teas?2020-10-28T10:27:17+00:00

Selling directly to the consumer is the best way and gives you the maximum margins on your product. This is why we recommend markets and festivals as they always have consumers who are looking to buy product and your costs are variable (only pay if you attend unlike a shop where rent is a cost every month). It is also the best way to build your customer base in a short period of time which will lead to re-orders from yoir customers. You can see the potential profit chart on Pg9 of the Info Pack.

How does the wholesale pricing work?2020-10-28T10:27:42+00:00

The primary benefit of being a dealer is that you buy your stock directly from the manufacturer. There are no distributors or middle men so you make the maximum margins. The more packets you re-order, the better the wholesale price, meaning that your mark-up margin increases.

The mark-up margins that you can make from the wholesale pricing range from 67% to 130%.

Are there any finance options on the Dealer Pack price?2020-10-28T10:28:03+00:00

If the investment is your only obstacle stopping you with this opportunity, ask us about our interest free instalment plan. If you qualify, you can get started with a smaller up front investment and pay the balance out of your cashflow as you grow your business.

What about tax? How much do I have to earn before paying income tax?2020-10-28T10:28:32+00:00

Something that always needs to be addressed is how much the tax man wants out of all this. Firstly, you should read up on the ATO website for information on your own personal circumstances, however, here are a few details that will come in handy.

  1. There is no GST on loose leaf herbal products (unless they are sold as a pre-made drink)
  2. The taxfree thresholdfor individuals is $18,200 in a financial year. A sole trader business structure is taxed as part of your own personal income.
  3. How much can you earn on an ABN before paying tax? This means that regardless of being on an ABNor a TFN you can still earn up to $18,200 tax free in the financial year.
  4. Our current dealers are experiencing 50:50 ratio of cash:card payments at markets/events. You can always only accept cash as payment, although, not having the option may be less convenient with your customers.
  5. Best discuss your options of your personal circumstances with an accountant first. Getting it right and adjusting your set-up as your empire grows, firstly is smart business, and secondly can save you loads in taxes, keeping the money in your pocket.
